The Pain and Palliative Care Unit of our College, in collaboration with the Pain and Palliative Care Society, Thrissur, has conducted a One-day Orientation Program on 06/01/2023, intended to provide awareness for first semester students and newly enrolled students from other semesters. This is the second orientation programme conducted by Pain and Palliative Care Unit in the academic year 2022-23.
Principal Sri. Suresh A.K delivered the presidential address. Sri. P.V.Mohan, Joint Secretary, Pain and Palliative Society, Thrissur, Akhil Valsaraj, Volunteer, Pain and Palliative Care Society, Fima, Staff Nurse Pain and Palliative Care Society, Franklin and Anna, student volunteers were the resource persons. Besides introducing the history and home care details of palliative care, students were given activities in the form of group discussion and presentation. There were 90 participants in the forenoon session and 58 participants in the afternoon session. The co-ordinator of the programme was Sini.P.M. The programme concluded by 3.45 p.m with a vote of Thanks from Biviya Varghese, a volunteer of Pain and Palliative Care Unit.
